Portrait Paintings

I enjoy painting people, and I always work from life. Most of my portraits are head studies, and most of them displayed here were painted "Alla Prima" (one sitting)  in my studio during the "Open Figure/Portrait Sessions" that I host twice a month.  In the open session, the model takes a repeated pose (or long pose) for 3-5 hours.  I am including a few photos of the sessions.  If you might like to join in on an Open Figure/Portrait session, or  if you are interested in portraits or portrait classes, please contact me using the form on the contact  page.  Thanks.  K.
